Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Warehouse Materials Handler in Phoenix, AZ to support receiving, storage, and distribution for manufacturing operations. You will move materials, verify quantities, process transactions in the materials system, and coordinate with warehousing to ensure timely replenishment.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math skills, and ability to work with ERP and inventory management systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Move materials between areas using carts, pallets, and forklifts.
  • Receive and issue material requisitions and verify quantities.
  • Process materials via electronic management system against POs/WOEs.
  • Coordinate with warehousing locations for replenishment and storage.
  • Partner with logistics and production to prevent shortages.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory as scheduled.
  • Assist with reconciling inventory discrepancies and reporting findings.
  • Support training of new team members and adhere to EHS, quality policies.
  • Read and follow work instructions and BOMs.
  • Complete required training and report quality/compliance concerns.

Job description

Overview

Executes material receiving, storage, staging, and distribution activities to support manufacturing operations and product assembly, with a strong focus on accuracy, inventory integrity, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform material movement between designated areas using handcarts, pallet jacks, powered industrial trucks, and forklifts, as required.
  • Receive and issue individual material requisitions for internal and external departments through both physical handling and system transactions; verify quantities and accuracy.
  • Process materials against purchase orders and work orders using an electronic materials management system.
  • Coordinate with on‑site and off‑site warehousing locations to support parts replenishment and material storage.
  • Partner with logistics and production teams to identify, resolve, and help prevent material shortages.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory according to established schedules.
  • Assist with reconciling inventory discrepancies and report findings to the Supervisor.
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members, as needed.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality System policies and procedures.
  • Read and follow work instructions and bills of materials.
  • Perform other assigned duties and special projects as required.
  • Complete all required Quality and Compliance training within established timeframes.
  • Identify, document, and report quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or local equivalent.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
  • Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in warehousing or material handling.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to perform job‑related physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience using automated or powered lifting equipment.
