Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
Palletizer Assistant/Packer has responsibility to inspect and pack cartons neatly. ONLY Quality Products are to be packed!
Assemble corrugated according to customer specifications.
Responsible to review and confirm Pallet tags, Pallet log and Work instructions all agree.
Confirm labels are secure and facing out, as applicable, when preparing pallets. Also, make sure corrugated is all lined up and matches in appearance.
Responsible to initial tags and confirm that they checked each case to prevent mixing, quality check.
Responsible for operating Pallet Jack to move completed pallet over to stretch wrap machine and wrap pallet.
Responsible to Re-stock enough material for next crew member coming behind, which includes cases stocked and also keeping the tables stocked up with cases. In addition, must keep up speed to not back up the table.
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the area (remove stray cartons, sweep up, etc.) performed during make ready.
The Palletizer Assistant/Packer will help with troubleshooting when issues arise.
Support and Develop (Lean) initiatives (5s, TPM, Daily Management).
Basic Computer Skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
Candidates must be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work-related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
