Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe handling, storing, and shipping of specialty chemicals. The Material Handler will support functions within materials management related to handling, storing, and shipping chemicals.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate weights and measures related to warehousing, receiving, and shipping.
• Secure packages to handling units (pallets) using stretch wrap and banding.
• Label individual packaging accurately.
• Maintain basic computer skills.
• Report incidents/accidents when necessary.
• Comply with all permit requirements.
• Document activities clearly on forms or work orders.
• Read and understand safety rules, policies, and manuals.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Perform janitorial and general labor duties, including housekeeping.
• Follow all safety policies and use PPE.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice.
• Operate forklifts safely.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years experience in processing or batching preferred.
• Team-oriented, responsible, and trainable.
• Good organizational, mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Pass pre-employment screening including drug test, background check, and physical.
