Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is a leading provider of aviation ground support products, gate equipment and airport services to commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handling and military customers. The Material Handler coordinates movement and control of materials in the warehouse and shipping department.

Responsibilities include verifying, counting, locating incoming materials, issuing materials to production orders, and coordinating shipments.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years shipping experience including weighing, crating, boxing, skidding, strapping, marking and documentation.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Oshkosh Aerotech Ground Support Equipment (GSE) product line knowledge, preferred.
  • Hand scanner experience preferred.
  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, count, and locate incoming materials into the stock room.
  • Issue materials to Production work orders.
  • Coordinate the disposition of defective materials with the Quality and Planning Departments.
  • Verify inventory counts in Cycle Count Process and fill shop orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare materials for domestic or export shipment by performing various shipping operations including weighing, crating, boxing, packing, and using ship computers.
  • Coordinate the shipment loading arrangements and assist with loading trucks for outbound shipments.
  • On any given day, area of work may be receiving, parts pulling, warehouse, or service parts; to be assigned as needed based on workload.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
