Job summary

Monroechamber in Orangeville, IL is seeking a Material Handler to support our food and beverage facility's warehouse operations. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency while developing inventory management skills.

You will dispatch orders, run cycle counts, assist production on the floor, operate stand-up or sit-down forklifts, and help with GMP and food safety initiatives. This is a full-time, first-shift (9:00am–5:00pm, Mon–Fri) position.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and general Office applications.
• Experience operating forklift equipment (stand-up or sit-down).
• Prior warehouse experience and knowledge of inventory management preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and support customer orders by entering data, scheduling loads, and preparing necessary documentation such as pick tickets, delivery tickets, and BOLs
• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliation across multiple sites to ensure accuracy and maintain high customer service levels
• Assist production operators on the floor and support sanitation to uphold GMP and food safety standards
• Maintain proper filing of counts, documentation, and communication related to inventory and operations
• Facilitate movement of inventory between Warehousing and co-manufacturing facilities, traveling approximately 10-20%
• Perform month-end and year-end inventory counts with attention to detail
• Operate forklifts (stand-up and sit-down) safely and efficiently to support warehouse operations
• Support safety and food safety initiatives by adhering to GMP, BRC, and housekeeping procedures
