Job summary

Compana Pet Brands in Omaha, NE is seeking a Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations on a 2nd shift (M-TH 4 pm - 2 am, Fri as needed) with a $1 differential. You will keep staging areas clean, follow safety and food safety procedures, operate equipment, and document production activities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years manufacturing or warehouse experience, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to certify and operate a forklift during shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring staging areas are clean and orderly.
• Following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Following all food safety procedures.
• Operating equipment properly to prevent injuries and downtime; notify supervisor if issues arise.
• Completing relevant production documentation accurately and on time.

As a Material Handler, you’ll make an impact by:

• Ensuring staging areas are clean and orderly.
• Following all safety procedures, and wear required personal safety equipment.
• Following all food safety procedures.
• Properly operating equipment to prevent personal injury, damage to equipment, and downtime. Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not running properly.
• Completing relevant production documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

What you need to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years manufacturing or warehouse experience
• Ability to certify and operate a forklift, getting off and on continuously throughout the shift.
