Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Second Shift Material Handler in Olive Branch, MS. The role focuses on moving, counting, and packing products, loading pallets, and ensuring shipments match orders.

The position requires operating powered equipment, stand/walk shifts, and participation in inventories as needed. Eligible applicants will receive a comprehensive benefits package as part of a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer.
• Experience with RF Scan Gun and Electric Pallet Jack.
• WMS experience preferred (JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP).

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product.
• Load product onto pallets or totes and ensure correct loading.
• Verify shipments against customer orders and adjust as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Position: Second (2nd) Shift Material Handler

Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday-Friday. Overtime required based on business needs.

Pay: $20.35 plus $1.00 shift differential

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of (1) year experience in Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer, including cross‑trained skills across multiple departments – inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
• Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
• Experience safely operating an Electric Pallet Jack and RF Scan Gun, or willingness to be trained to use this equipment; required.
• Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired. Examples of WMS systems are JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 90% of the shift).
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Role Purpose

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
• Put‑away and pick product for shipment or stock. Insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly.
• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitors power source as necessary.
• Verify and report discrepancies such as non‑available products and OS&D.
• Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion. Inspect all operated equipment daily.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
