Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a Forklift Operator/Material Handler. The role focuses on operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products, and ensuring inbound/outbound accuracy. PM/Night shifts rotate on a 3-2-2 schedule, with starting pay of $21.25 per hour and shift differentials.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking, and staging, plus inventory support. High school diploma and warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred; safe operation of forklift and material handler duties.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.

Position: Forklift Operator/Material Handler

-PM Shift: (Plant) 6pm–;6:30am, Night shift rotates on a 3-2-2 schedule.

Starting Pay:$21.25 per hour.

PM Shift differential of $2.00/HR Monday - Thursday nights, $3.00/HR Friday –; Sunday nights.

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• Forklift experience is necessary for qualified candidates with good work history.
• Forklift positions will require safely operating a forklift, as well as perform material handler job duties to include loading and unloading, stacking and staging product.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
• Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock. Insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly.
• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct.
• Changes equipment battery or LP tank and monitors power source as necessary.
• Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D.
• Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion. Inspect all operated equipment daily.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, prefer
