Job summary

Superior Industrial Solutions in Old Hickory, TN is seeking a Material Handler for a full-time, first shift position. You will transfer chemicals between pails, drums and totes, read process paperwork, sample and QC materials, label and ship products, and operate a forklift while using PPE for safety.

The role includes cross-training across shipping, inventory, and packaging areas and requires a high school diploma and strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong safety mindset is essential.
• Forklift certification (training is provided) is required to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transfer products into and out of pails, drums, and totes using transfer pumps and hoses.
• Read paperwork with chemical amounts and blending instructions.
• Pull product samples and submit them to the Lab for quality control.
• Label containers and secure closures.
• Inspect, label, store, and prepare products for shipment.
• Stage, load, and unload pails, drums, and totes.
• Operate a forklift.
• Wear required PPE for safety.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly.
• Lift and/or move 55 lbs.
• Cross-train in areas such as shipping/receiving, bulk handling, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventive maintenance, and yard truck spotting

What We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking aMaterial Handlerto work at ourOld Hickory, Tennessee location.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 1st shift
• Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with flexibility to stay until work is completed.
• Additional hours may be required
