Job summary

Maxcess in Oklahoma City is seeking a Material Handler to support our production and logistics teams. You will load, unload, and move materials within the plant, assist with purchase orders and cycle counts, and ensure accurate records for all materials received and issued.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to lift moderate to heavy loads, and vigilance in following safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods.
• Basic computer and computation skills.
• Good focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs purchase order and job receipts of material
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials received or issued with critical attention to detail and accuracy
• Performs cycle counts on regular basis
• Picks and issues material to jobs
• Delivers backorders and materials to various departments
• Loads and unloads materials from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Prepares intercompany packing lists
• Attaches identifying labels and/or tags or marks containers with identifying information
• Knows, understands, and follows proper safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.

• Long periods of standing; frequent walking
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally climbing ladders to heights of approximately 25 feet
• Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
