Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Material Handler to support inventory control and warehouse operations at environmental services facilities, safely handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and operating forklifts.

Responsibilities include receiving shipments, verifying documents, maintaining records, and ensuring safety compliance. Candidates should have forklift certification, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of warehouse management, forklift operation and/or water treatment experience.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments using forklifts or other equipment and unload goods.
• Verify items received against documentation and inspect for damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and calibration/operation logs.
• Stock, store, and issue materials while keeping records up to date.
• Ensure safety regulations and environmental standards are followed.

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Material Handlerensures inventory control management and warehouse operationsfor environmental services facilities, handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely, operatingforklifts and other material handling equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments of goods, often using forklifts or other equipment to unload trucksand other delivery vehicles.
• They verify that the items received match the accompanying documentation.
• They may also inspect items for damage before moving them to designated storage areas.
• Maintains accurate, neat and complete records of all calibration/operation logs and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Use warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
• Receipt, storage, issue and stock control of materials in the warehouse
• Maintains all reagent and chemical inventory in the calibration room
• Assist Material buyer in cycle count, blind and yearly inventory
• Receiving, issuing parts listed for plant and field use.
• Responsible for stocking spill kits, fire locker and housekeeping of waste management areas.
• Responsible for rebuilding, testing all configurations of Cla-Vals and dosing pumps
• Handling of potentially hazardous chemicals
• Responsible for all hazardous chemical storage areas, deliveries, tank levels and dilutions duringthe shift.
• Material handlers follow safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
• They may also perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in goodworking order.
• They maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that loading and docking areasare clear.

• Operates yard-mule and forklift as business needs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Required:

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience and knowledge of warehouse management, forklift operation and/or resins and water treatment experience.

Preferred:

• AS Degree in Business or Supply Chain
• Warehouse Management knowledge

Working Conditions

• Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, working atelevated heights, and manual dexterity
• Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrialfacilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities

Compensation:

The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly bench-marked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $21- $23.
