Pacific Coast Building Products, Inc. in Newark, CA is hiring a Material Handler to load and unload gypsum board on a conveyor and assist with processing and packaging.

The role requires forklift experience and the ability to work outdoors in dusty conditions, with a strong emphasis on safety and regular attendance. The position offers on-the-job training, benefits including medical, dental and vision, 401(k) profit sharing, and paid holidays.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lift and/or move 60 pounds and more.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Ability to work in dusty conditions.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.

Mansioni

• Load and unload gypsum board on and off conveyor manually and with assistance.
• Inspect wallboard for damages and/or imperfections.
• Wipe excess water on finished taping.
• Change tape rolls as needed and change glue drums as needed.
• Operate a forklift and process and package accessory products.
• Abide by all safety rules and report hazardous conditions.

PABCO® Gypsum is one of the leading manufacturers of wallboard in the United States and has provided quality products and service since 1972.

Material Handler

The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting resumes for a Material Handler. Your job as a Material Handler is to load and unload gypsum board on and off a conveyor as well as other product processing and packaging.

What is the Job?

• Forklift and warehouse experience, preferred.
• Load and unloads gypsum board on and off conveyor manually and assisted.
• Inspect wallboard for damages and/or imperfections.
• Wipe off excessive water on finished taping.
• Change tape roll, as needed.
• Change glue drums, as needed.
• Operate a forklift.
• Process and package accessory products.
• Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• All other special projects or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Lift and/or move 60 pounds and more.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
• Ability to work in dusty conditions.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.

What is the Pay?

• Starting pay is $25.55 per hour.
• There are Shift Differentials: Swing Shift: +$0.75/hour, Grave Shift: +$1.00/hour.

What is the Work Schedule?

• Training will occur on Day Shift: Current shift hiring for is 2:30pm – 11 pm Monday - Friday. Required flexibility with schedule as it might change with the business need.
• Weekend availability is required.
• It’s a physical job and the environment is dusty and can be hot.
• Weekend availability must be open.
