Job summary

Priority Personnel is seeking a Material Handler for a New Braunfels, TX area employer. Shifts are Mon-Thu, 6:00am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of $17.50/hour. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, inventory control, and order pulling from warehouse stock.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year in shipping/receiving, plus experience with RF scanners or Epicor is preferred. Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shipping and receiving logs and ensure accurate counts.
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Organize inventory, inventory control, and product knowledge.
• Verify and pull customer sales orders from stock.
• Stock materials in bin locations and follow FIFO rules and cycle counts.
• Provide information about shipped/received materials and inventory.
• Coordinate with freight for pickup/delivery and with other departments.
• Wear PPE and follow safety practices; operate forklift safely when in use.

Job description

Priority Personnel is hiring Material Handlers for a company located in New Braunfels, TX.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday/6:00am- 4:30pm

Pay rate: $17.50/hour

Duties include but are not limited to:

• May maintain shipping and receiving logs and ensures that incoming and outgoing products and material are in good condition and accurate counts.


• Maintains the cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse/inventory.


• Manitains organization of inventory, inventory control, and product knowledge.


• Verifies and pulls customer sales orders from warehouse stock.


• Stocks materials in assigned bin location and observes date code requirements as well as any first-in/first-out (FIFO) requirements and participates in cycle counts.


• Provides general information regarding shipped and/or received materials, inventory, supplies and all materials.


• Effectively communicates with freight company for pickup and delivery of materials and product. Effectively communicates with other department staff as needed.


• Follows safe working practices and properly wears personal protective equipment as required. Must wear safety belt any time forklift is in motion.


• Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and one-year related experience in a related shipping/receiving environment.


• Proven experience in material handling and warehouse operations


• Strong expertise in physical cycle counting, inventory audits, and discrepancy resolution.


• Experience using RF scanners or Epicor is preferred.


• Forklift experience is a plus but not required for these roles.
