A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Production Material Handler to support various production lines. The role involves staging materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a smooth production flow in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and attention to detail, along with a background in warehouse operations.
Description
Production material handlers assigned to each production line and given the task of handing all raw and finished goods for that line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Support production as needed
2. Pull and stage materials for tempering before production
* Pull/stage all production batches needed for a given day
* Move pulled raw materials to staging bins in WMS
* Bring items to the line or decks as needed
3. Return left over raw materials
* Move back to stock locations in WMS
4. Wrap and put away new production pallets
* Move pallets in WMS
* Fill out a tracking ticket for production pulls and yields
5 . Move line garbage or scrap items to recycling storage area or into dumpster and verify counts
* Label pallets as scrap and report counts
6. Maintain automated palletizer equipment
* Fill with needed supplies (pallets/film)
* Trouble shoot minor issues
7. Keep Raw ingredients area clean and organized
8. Bring partial pallets finished good pallets to production as needed.
9. Pull and load warehouse transfers to W200 plant
* Stage in area and move in system to bin
10. Driver transfer truck from plant to plant as needed
11. Preform cycle counts as needed
12. Organize pallet wrapping stations
13. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret (English) documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit/stand; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.

The employee works in a factory environment and is occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. He/she is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
