Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Naperville, IL is hiring a permanent full-time Warehouse Material Handler to support our facility. This role operates sit-down forklifts, handles dry packaged foods, and follows safety-first practices.

The position offers a starting pay of $19.00 per hour, plus $0.75 shift pay on second shift, with a schedule Monday to Friday 4:30 pm to 1:00 am. On-the-job training, benefits, PTO, and 401(k) are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Process day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hour.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
