Job description

Material Handler
1st shift 7am to 3:30 pm M-F
Temp to Hire for the right candidate
Responsibilities:

• Collection, removal and oil separation of all chips and metal scraps from all types of production machinery.
• Remove scraps and/or chips from machinery and shovel into separator to remove oil.
• Dry chips are dumped into barrels or deposited at holding area to be removed from premises.
• Must segregate scrap and chips by type {aluminum, brass, stainless steel, steel etc.) to ensure maximum realization of scrap value.
• Dump reclaimed oil into barrels to be reused again in production machinery.
• Cleanliness of assigned areas and use of all applicable available safety equipment.
• Perform other duties as directed or required by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and move bins of finished material up to 25 lbs; anything over this weight, equipment will be provided
• Frequent standing, bending, and reaching during rolling operations
• Ability to operate rolling machines and perform inspections with manual dexterity and visual acuity
• Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise
• Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment requiring focus and attention to detail
