Job description

Pay rate: $20.00/hr
Hours: 7am-330pm, M-F
Location: Memphis, TN
Duration: 5 months

Material Handler – Role Summary
The Material Handler supports accurate inventory and financial reporting by managing material movement using SAP. This role requires frequent standing (50%+ of shift) and the ability to push, pull, or lift up to 40 lbs individually (50+ lbs with assistance). All tasks must comply with Smith & Nephew's policies and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and receive goods using SAP
• Perform material put-away, picking, shipping, and cycle count support
• Ensure inventory is accurately stored and organized
• Move products between assigned areas and prepare outbound shipments
• Build pallets and shipments for sterilization
• Operate material handling equipment and shrink wrap machines
• Maintain a clean, secure workspace and follow safety protocols
• Collaborate with team and assist with inter-site shipments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, operations)
• Proficient with SAP, Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Problem-solving ability in non-standardized environments
• Able to understand written, oral, and diagrammed instructions
