Job summary

Novus Technical Services USA is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support our construction operations by receiving, organizing, staging, and distributing materials and equipment across the site. You will help with shipping/receiving, inventory control, and maintaining accurate records using modern inventory systems.

The role requires 1–2 years of material handling experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling in manufacturing, commercial, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining digital and physical records.
  • High level of computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, palletizers, saws.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to work with operations teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lift and move materials manually when required.
  • Pass background check and drug screen; OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials across project site and warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records.
  • Track material movement, quantities, locations, and distribution to operations teams.
  • Prepare and issue materials per project schedules.
  • Organize warehouse, laydown areas, and storage for easy access.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, counts, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled work.
  • Maintain safe, clean storage areas and follow safety procedures.

Description

Novus Technical Services USA is seeking a motivatedMaterial Handler to support commercial and industrial construction operations by receiving, organizing, staging, tracking, and distributing materials and equipment throughout the project site. This role plays an important part in ensuring materials are accurately accounted for and available to operations teams when and where they are needed.

The Material Handler will assist with shipping and receiving, inventory control, material staging, warehouse and laydown yard organization, and the movement of materials throughout the site. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to safely operate material-handling equipment while maintaining accurate digital and physical inventory records.

This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug/alcohol screening.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and shipments
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the project site, warehouse, and designated storage areas
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records for materials and equipment
  • Track material movement, quantities, locations, and distribution to operations teams
  • Pick, prepare, and issue materials according to project requirements and work schedules
  • Organize and maintain warehouse, laydown, and material storage areas to ensure materials are easily identifiable and accessible
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, palletizers, saws, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory counts, cycle counts, and material reconciliation
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure required materials are available to support scheduled work
  • Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or improperly stored materials
  • Label, tag, document, and properly store incoming and outgoing materials
  • Assist with manual material movement and inventory restocking as required
  • Follow established inventory control procedures and maintain accurate documentation
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe material storage and work areas
  • Follow good manufacturing practices and lean manufacturing principles where applicable
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations, site requirements, and company safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in shipping or material handling within a manufacturing setting

Proven ability to follow complex instructions and maintain accurate digital and physical records

High level of computer literacy and experience using inventory technology

Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as saws, palletizers, forklifts, and electric pallet jacks

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with operations teams

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is highly desired

Physical ability to move materials and restock inventory manually when required

Strict adherence to good manufacturing practices and workplace safety protocols
