Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc is seeking a Material Handler in Madison, GA for a 12-month contract. Expect a 40-hour week with shifts Sun–Wed or Thu–Sat and pay between $16 and $20 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stack pallets, with many items under 25 lbs.
• Verify labels and match to pallets; scanning experience required.
• Operate stand-up forklift and related equipment.
• Move materials using forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts or power trucks.
• Maintain records and perform routine tasks within defined SOPs.
• Work under supervision with quality guidelines.

Hours are either Sun-Wed 10 hrs/day 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM or Thur-Sat 12 hrs/day 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Description

• Mainly manual labor - unloading trucks and stacking pallets - under 25 lbs (some weigh less than 5 lbs)
• Must be able to verify labels on boxes and matching to pallets. Attention to detail is essential! Scanning experience is needed as well
• Stand up forklift experience needed
• Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.
• May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision.

Qualification & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed. Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
