Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Material Handler to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing. You will handle receipt, storage, movement, and issuance of materials, maintaining accurate inventory and supporting efficient production flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
  • Issue materials to work orders and production personnel.
  • Move materials between stockroom, warehouse and production areas using material handling equipment.
  • Perform inventory transactions in the ERP/MRP system to maintain records.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Verify material identification and proper documentation.

Job Description
Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the receipt, storage, movement, issuance, and control of materials required to support manufacturing operations. This position ensures materials are available to production when needed, maintains accurate inventory transactions, and supports on-time delivery and operational efficiency through effective material handling practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies.
  • Issue materials to manufacturing work orders and production personnel.
  • Move materials between stockroom, warehouse, and production areas using approved material handling equipment.
  • Perform inventory transactions in the ERP/MRP system to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
  • Verify material identification, traceability, and proper documentation.
  • Maintain organized storage locations and ensure material is properly labeled and protected from damage.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures related to material handling, storage, and inventory control.
  • Follow all safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities related to warehouse and material flow processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse, stockroom, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and inventory control processes preferred.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment or obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
