Job summary

Interior Logic Group is seeking a Material Handler to safely move, store, and manage materials within the warehouse. You will handle stone slabs and related products, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely delivery to production and installation teams.

The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to operate forklifts and related equipment. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

  • 1 year minimum experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
  • Experience moving, storing, and handling stone slabs or large-format materials.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and related tools.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load, unload, and transport slabs, remnants, and materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials per company procedures.
  • Prepare and stage materials for production, fabrication, or delivery.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Keep warehouse and yard clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, fabrication, and logistics teams to meet deadlines.

Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, organization, and storage of materials within the warehouse. This role supports daily operations by accurately handling stone slabs, remnants, and related products while maintaining inventory integrity and adhering to safety standards. Attention to detail, situational awareness, and a strong commitment to safety are essential to ensure materials are handled properly and delivered on schedule to support operational success.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safely load, unload, and transport slabs, remnants, and other materials using forklifts, slab handlers, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials in accordance with company standards and product-handling procedures.
  • Prepare and stage materials for production, fabrication, or delivery to installation teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, assisting with regular cycle counts and material audits.
  • Handle materials carefully to prevent damage to high-value and fragile products.
  • Ensure the warehouse and yard remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and equipment operation procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, fabrication, and logistics teams to support efficient material flow and project deadlines.
Experience Required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Experience moving, storing, and handling stone slabs, remnants, or large-format materials required.
  • Proven ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, A-frame dollies, and material handling tools.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Preferred Experience
  • Working in manufacturing, stone fabrication, or distribution environments.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material tracking and movement.
  • Proficient in operating slab-handling equipment and warehouse machinery.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on your feet for extended periods, and safely maneuver heavy materials.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with other departments.
