Job summary

AMETEK in Keene, NH is seeking a Material Handler to support our machine shop by preparing and processing materials for machining operations. You will handle raw materials and operate specialized equipment.

Responsibilities include cutting materials with bandsaws, operating a Proto-Trak Mill, performing laser cutting/engraving, loading/unloading in the stress relief oven, and cleaning parts with an ultrasonic tank. Forklift skills and accurate record keeping are essential.

Qualifications

  • Verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration.
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T prints and technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and basic shop math.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a machine shop or similar environment.
  • Forklift certification (crane/power lift certification preferred).
