Amentum in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a production associate to support daily operations under the Service Contract Act. You will handle palletized products, operate equipment, and follow safety rules to ensure a smooth workflow.

• Inspect PPE and safety equipment prior to use, and report any PPE or equipment in a broken, worn, or not ready for use status.
• Immediately report any injury or incident to a supervisor regardless of significance.
• Participate in safety initiatives like observations, near misses, and safety committees.
• Weigh or measure pallets for compliance with standards.
• Ensure placard information is correct and attached to pallets.
• Operate manual and/or electric pallet jack to transport palletized product.
• Transport rolling containers.
• Ensure continuous and smooth flow of product through the department.
• Operate bander to place bands on pallets.
• Operate bailing machine
• Perform pc transactions when needed.
• Observe safe practice rules (including housekeeping) as well as instructions relating to the efficient performance of their work.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
