Job summary

Amentum is seeking candidates for a warehouse/receiving-shipping role in Utah. The position focuses on inspecting, classifying, and processing material to meet customer requirements, with mentoring on measurement and blueprint reading.

You may operate MHE and must obtain an MHE license within 30 days, with potential travel and security clearance requirements. Responsibilities include labeling, data entry, basic reporting, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months general work experience; no specific experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection.
• Must successfully complete Inert Certification training requirements.
• May travel and pass/maintain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per regulations.
• Visual examination or use of measuring devices under mentoring by senior personnel.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• Use blueprints, schematics under mentoring by senior personnel.
• Load material on and off of skids, pallets, stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Prepare basic reports.
• Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.
• Receive data from and input data to automated systems in performance of receiving/shipping duties.
• May operate material handling equipment with appropriate license.
• Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.
• Make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Minimum three (3) months general work experience which will demonstrate ability to perform requirements of position. No specific experience required. High school diploma or GED required. May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of general experience for one year of high school. Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection. Must be able to successfully complete Inert Certification training requirements. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Shop environment in with hazardous equipment, Moving MHE, obstacles and high volume of activity. Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds for short distances, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, have full dexterity, and correctable vision. Outside work in hot and cold or wet weather is often required. Work environment often has fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is loud. Protective devices are required to avoid injury.

In some location, this position requires the candidate to be available, on short notice, to work all shifts in multiple work areas as required. Frequent evenings and Saturday shifts may be required.
