Job summary

Pro Resources Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Material Handler for a steel processing and distribution facility. This full-time, temp-to-hire role pays $20.74/hour and runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The position requires warehouse experience and comfort with material-handling equipment, RF scanners, and safety procedures. You will load and unload, inspect materials, and help ensure accurate shipments and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of material handling or warehouse experience.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead cranes.
• Basic computer skills and RF scanner familiarity.
• Ability to read work orders and follow instructions precisely.
• Ability to use a tape measure, micrometer, caliper, and calculator.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
• Match order numbers to tags to ensure accurate shipments.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials.
• Pick and stage materials for production and shipping.
• Inspect, label, band, and package finished products.
• Process work orders and bills of lading.
• Record material movements using an RF scanner.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Keep work areas and walkways clean and free of debris.
• Follow all established safety procedures.
