Located in Minonk, Illinois, SMF an Etnyre International Company, is a full-service metal manufacturing facility that specializes in heavy and light fabrication for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Our organization has a fifty-year history servicing the construction, power generation, agriculture, and mining industries. That’s why we are in the top ½ percent of machine shops nationwide. With more than 200,000 square feet of manufacturing capabilities between our two facilities, Our processes includes everything from engineering and fabrication to multiple finishing options. In late 2020, SMF joined the Etnyre International team and is now a part of a larger exciting growing organization.

We are currently looking for experienced Material Handlers who enjoy the job and can keep up with our production demands on our 3rd shift.

Job Duties:

A material handler maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product

• Delivers materials to production areas in a timely manner to ensure that production standards are maintained
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• Loads and Unloads product in a safe and efficient manner
• Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered as well as the location of units
• Delivers product to the correct storage bays while following inventory control instructions
• Verifies Bills of Lading to tags on products
• Maintains material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and makes operator repairs when necessary

Qualifications

• Proven material handling/fork truck operating experience in a heavy manufacturing/machine shop setting (minimum 2 years)
• Must be observant and pay strong attention to detail
• Must be deadline oriented
• Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs
• Good math, communication, and comprehension skills required
• Fork lift driving certification per OSHA standards
