Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated is seeking a Logistics Warehouse associate to maintain the flow of material from receiving to storage and from production to shipping at our Huntsville, Arkansas facility. You will prepare documentation, pull stock, and update the business system, while ensuring parts are verified against packing lists and delivered to the correct work centers on time.

Responsibilities include receiving material, inspecting for damage, packaging for shipping, and performing daily cycle

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months to 1 year warehousing experience preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (MS Excel, Word) and MRP systems.

• Transact materials electronically to update the business system.
• Receive all incoming material and inspect for visible damage.
• Verify parts and part numbers against packing list for accuracy.
• Deliver items to incoming quality inspection and to proper storage areas.
• Deliver the parts to designated work centers or staging areas to meet deadlines.
• Handle, store, pack, label and distribute material to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Rearrange storage area to accommodate varying parts and stock.
• Perform daily cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and package products for shipping, with special packaging as required by customer specs.
• Support FIFO practices while storing inventory items.
• Perform other assignments as required

Job Summary

• Prepare and provide proper documentation.

• Electronically transact materials to update the business system.
• Receive all incoming material, opening packages and crates; checking material for visible damage.
• Verify parts and part numbers against packing list to ensure accuracy. Notify supervisor of all discrepancies.
• Deliver items to incoming quality inspection, if applicable, and all other material to proper storage areas.
• Deliver the parts to the designated work centers or staging areas, ensuring timely response to any deadlines or ship dates.
• Handle, store, pack, label, and distribute material using proper techniques to ensure no damage to the material as well as to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Rearrange storage area as necessary to accommodate varying parts, components and finished stock while maintaining storage area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform daily cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and package products to ship, building special packaging to support various products which require special handling per customer specifications and quality workmanship standards.
• Support the first in first out practices while storing all inventory items.
• Perform other assignments as required

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (working knowledge of MRP systems, Excel, and Word)
• Ability to operate forklift truck.
• Ability to operate equipment required to pack and move products.
• Knowledge of proper techniques for lifting and carrying.
• Sit, stand, walk, bend frequently.
• Squat kneel, reach out, and reach above shoulders occasionally.

  Required Experience And Education

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year experience preferred, but not required.
