Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Material Handler in Houston, TX (77088) on 1st shift. Responsibilities include labeling, storing, and tracking goods; unloading shipments; and operating PIT equipment to move items to storage bays or work centers.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED or Technical School Degree, basic math skills, and forklift certification, plus 2+ years in a warehouse role and a valid driver’s license. Lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• At least two years of warehouse material handler experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED or Technical School Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Label, store, and track the location of goods within the facility.
• Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damage, verify against manifests.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes) to move items to storage bays or work centers.
• Pull and stage raw materials and supplies for daily production orders; ensure items are ready for shipping dock.
• Conduct pre-use inspections on equipment, perform light maintenance, keep work area OSHA-compliant.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and storage areas.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards or incidents.
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals.
