Job summary

nVent is seeking warehouse associates to receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments. You will use forklifts and material handling equipment, organize storage, and prepare items for shipment while maintaining safety and inventory control.

The role requires forklift certification within a week, experience with WMS, and the ability to work overtime as needed in a fast-paced environment. You’ll join a global company focused on reliable, inventive electrical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling equipment.
  • Skilled in operating forklifts, using WMS, and performing stock audits.
  • Must obtain forklift certification within 1 week to operate motorized equipment safely.
  • Ability to work voluntary / mandatory overtime as business dictates.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal & written instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders and receipts.
  • Safely load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
  • Organize and store materials with proper inventory control.
  • Use material handling equipment to move materials within warehouse/production area.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety guidelines.
  • Prepare materials for shipment with packing, labeling, and documentation.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials per safety regs.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to prioritize orders.
  • Assist in unloading shipments and verify quantity and condition.
  • Participate in cycle counts, stock rotations, and inventory control activities.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisor.
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions or damage.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by logistics/warehouse manager.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
  • Safely load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
  • Organize and store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring easy access and proper inventory control.
  • Use material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors) to move materials within the warehouse or production area.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, following safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Prepare materials for shipment by packing, labeling, and ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, following all applicable safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to prioritize orders and ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Assist in the unloading of incoming shipments and verify the quantity and condition of materials.
  • Participate in cycle counts, stock rotations, and other inventory control activities.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or damage to supervisors.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the logistics or warehouse manager.
YOU HAVE:
  • Previous experience in or with warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling equipment.
  • Skills in operating forklifts, using warehouse management software (WMS), and performing stock audits.
  • Must obtain forklift certification within 1 week to operate motorized equipment and all types of forklifts safely.
  • Ability to work voluntary / mandatory overtime as business dictates.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal & written instructions provided by ECM training lead, department lead & department supervisor.
  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands: lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, working in varying temperatures, and working in a fast‑paced environment.
