PurposeBuilt Brands in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Material Handler to support production through accurate material movements and ERP data entry.

You will perform forklift-inspections, move materials, transact in Syspro, count inventory, and keep work areas clean. This onsite role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete & document daily forklift inspections.
• Move material to/from stock to manufacturing lines using a pick ticket.
• Transact all material movements real time into Syspro.
• Continuous replenishment of raw material to manufacturing.
• Remove finished goods pallets from lines, shrink wrap and stage.
• Clear lines of all raw material after production.
• Count material returning to stock, attach COUNTED sticker with quantity, initials and date.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout building.
• Communicate with Line Operators about needs and status.
• Move inventory and non-inventory pallets to maintain efficiency.
• Perform accurate Cycle Counts and any requested counts.

The Role

The Material Handler is responsible for picking, staging and returning raw materials to and from production lines. The Material Handler will be responsible for accurate and timely transactions of label material movements into Syspro (Enterprise Resource Planning system).

What You Will Do

• Complete & document daily forklift inspections.
• Move material to/from stock to manufacturing lines using a pick ticket
• Accurately transact all material movements real time into Syspro.
• Continuous replenishment of raw material to manufacturing ensuring no stoppage in the manufacturing process.
• Remove finished good pallets from manufacturing lines, shrink wrap and stage in the appropriate area.
• At completion of production run, clear manufacturing lines of all raw material.
• Accurately count material returning to stock, attach a “COUNTED” sticker with updated quantity, initial and date.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout building including pallet organization, emptying of dumpsters and loading of recyclable material into dunnage trailer.
• Be in constant communication with manufacturing Line Operators to understand their needs and status of current and future jobs.
• Movement of inventory and non-inventory pallets to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform accurate Cycle Counts and any requested counts.
