Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing is seeking a diligent Material Handler for our Georgetown, MA facility. The role focuses on receiving and delivering raw material, supporting the product distribution channel, and maintaining accurate ERP/MRP transactions.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, inventory upkeep, cycle counts, and adherence to safety procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
• Responsible for receiving raw material by entering transactions into ERP system and delivering material to staging areas.
• Packages parts carefully in protective wrap for shipment to customers.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order.
• Responsible for transferring scrap material to the scrap bins as required.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Assist in weekly/monthly/quarterly cycle counts.
• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Work closely with all departments in a manner that supports the business and encourages and builds a positive relationship.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Additional Responsibilities :

• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
• Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance.
• Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.
• Conform to all quality and safety procedures.
• Required to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.

Education, Experience and/or Skills Required :
