Job Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for pulling and putting away materials, properly documenting transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. This role also involves supplying materials to the production area, participating in cycle counts, and supporting the Pack-out Department. Contributing to a positive work environment is essential.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supply needed materials for the production area(s).
2. Pull and store materials, documenting transactions accurately.
3. Verify quantities against receiving documentation.
4. Operate forklift and pallet jack safely.
5. Participate in inventory cycle counts.
6. Support and back up the Pack-out Department as needed.
7. Contribute to team goal setting and process improvements.
8. Participate in safety initiatives to meet or exceed plant goals.
9. Perform duties safely, exercising discretion to prevent injuries.
10. Demonstrate planning, organizational skills, and effective teamwork.
11. Show leadership, positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
12. Follow safety guidelines and solve problems effectively.
13. Other duties as assigned.
14. Knowledge of JDE software is a plus.
15. Maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
16. Work well under pressure in a team environment.
17. Quick learner with good memory retention.
18. Exercise sound judgment and discretion.
19. Willing to work overtime as required.
