Job summary

DANCO Distribution Center, part of Plumbing Products Group LLC, in Dallas, TX, seeks a Material Handler for 1st shift (6:00am–2:30pm) to pull, move, and stock plumbing parts. You’ll use RF scanners, operate forklifts, and ensure accurate inventory while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires prior warehouse experience, basic math/reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a non-climate controlled environment. OT may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of material handler experience in a warehouse.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Locate, verify, and pull parts using RF scanners based on customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks and containers; verify deliveries against purchase orders.
• Stock shelves and replenish picking locations; record inventory data.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., Raymond forklift, pallet jacks).
• Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy goals.
• Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area following OSHA standards.

Key Duties For The Role

• Utilizing RF scanners to locate, verify, and pull plumbing parts (e.g., fittings, valves, pipes) based on customer orders.
• Loading and unloading trucks and containers, verifying incoming deliveries match purchase orders, and packing finished products for shipment.
• Stocking shelves, replenishing picking locations, and recording inventory data to ensure accuracy.
• Safely operating machinery such as Raymond brand forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials, including performing pre-use inspections.
• Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy goals
• Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or equipment issues to supervisors
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to OSHA standards and company safety procedures

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have experience with Raymond Stand Up Reach and Cherry Picker.
• At least 1 year of previous material handler experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to work independently and within time constraints.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills: verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outgoing, team player, and a willingness to learn.
• Solid attendance track record.

At DANCO we work 1st Shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday – Friday workweek with the opportunity for overtime when business need dictates.
