Material handler position

The Forklift operator / Material handler will set up jumbos to be slit as ordered by the customers. They must follow all Safety rules and work instructions during the process. The operator must achieve consistent quality of slit pads, maintain production records, and other forms.

· Job Duties:

· Set up and operate forklift according to job instructions.

· Maintain safety, keep work area clean and organized.

· Read and understand job instructions and fill out process documents.

· Read lot information on jumbos and transfer correct data to production forms.

· Keep Slitters supplied with Jumbos and remove Slit jumbos from aera.

· Load trucks as needed.

· Unload trucks and store material in the warehouse.

· Keep the material in the warehouse organized, Labeled, and floors clean.

· Keep scrap picked up from the floor and placed in scrap truck.

· Ensure the production forms and documents are turned into QC and office after each run.

· Other duty’s may be assigned by company as orders are changed.

· Operators are required to be working on their machine at the start up time 6:00am.

· Wear all PPE and observe all overhead crane safety rules during operation.

Work Environment:

· Able to stand, walk, kneel, bend over, push and pull for extended periods.

· Able to position and lift 75 to 120 pounds.

· High noise levels at times.

· Hot and cold environment in plant.

· Required Safety toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, long sleeves and pants.
