Job summary

Bausch & Lomb in Rochester, NY is seeking a Material Handler to keep production moving on 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2-3, 6pm–6am). This hands-on role involves loading and transporting materials, organizing carts, and supporting a state-of-the-art manufacturing line.

You’ll work with hydraulic hoists, pallet lifts and floor jacks, require a high school diploma, steel-toed shoes, and several months in manufacturing. The position offers growth opportunities in a globally respected optics company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Ability to operate hydraulic hoist, floor jacks and pallet lift.
• Physically able to walk, stand, push, pull, and lift.
• Steel-toed shoes required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Cartboys for the production line and return used ones to the solutions prep room.
• Monitor and transport carts to/from the production area.
• Keep production floor carts and trays available and ready.
• Maintain lidstock and labels in the staging area.
• Stock supplies in cabinets (gloves, labels, rubber bands, wipes, etc.).
• Operate equipment: hydraulic hoist, floor jacks, pallet lift.
