Job summary

The Dixon Group is seeking a Material Handler in Chestertown, MD. You will safely receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship orders, using forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move inventory efficiently. The role emphasizes accurate records and timely fulfillment in a busy distribution center.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
• Reliable, team-oriented mindset with strong time management.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, store, and move materials within the distribution center.
• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment per customer orders.
• Load/unload trucks using forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts via system updates.
• Use appropriate packaging materials to protect products in transit.
• Coordinate with shipping, customer service, and inventory teams to meet deadlines.
• Assist with general warehouse upkeep and organization.

Work Hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $17 - $20 per hour

The Dixon Group is looking for a Material Handler to join our Distribution Center team in Chestertown, MD! In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring products move efficiently through our warehouse—from receiving and stocking to picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. You’ll operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move inventory safely, maintain accurate records, and help keep our distribution processes running smoothly. What You'll Do
