Job summary

Staffmark in Chester, SC is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations and ensure the smooth movement of materials along the production line.

The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, prolonged standing, and 3+ years of machine operator experience. Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a $17.00 per hour pay rate and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production equipment to ensure efficiency.
  • Change and replace product bags as full.
  • Manually shovel product into bags and prep for shipment.
  • Box finished products as they move along line.
  • Stack, organize, and palletize packaged goods.
  • Inspect products and packaging for quality.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
  • Assist with additional production, packaging, and warehouse duties.

Education Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a labor-intensive production environment.
  • Ability to safely stack and palletize finished products.
Job Duties
  • Monitor production equipment and machinery during operation to ensure efficient performance.
  • Change and replace product bags as they become full during the production process.
  • Manually shovel product into bags and prepare materials for shipment or storage.
  • Box finished products as they move down the production line.
  • Stack, organize, and palletize packaged products according to company standards.
  • Inspect products and packaging for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, production guidelines, and supervisor instructions.
  • Assist with additional production, packaging, and warehouse duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

As a Material Handler you will receive, move, stage, load, unload, organize, and transport materials throughout warehouse or manufacturing operations. You will verify inventory, maintain accurate product locations, prepare materials for production or shipment, assist with inventory control, and help ensure safe, efficient movement of products while following established workplace procedures.
