Job summary

Northern Kane County Chamber in Carpentersville, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate. The position requires basic data entry skills and experience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts. Schedule is 1st shift with an 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, pay rate $18.00/hour, and an evaluation hire

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh, inspect, and verify inbound and outbound materials; report shortages or discrepancies.
• Follow FIFO procedures and assemble orders per work orders.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions with inventory accuracy for raw materials, finished goods, and corrugated materials.
• Deliver, tag, and stock materials at workstations with accurate weights and counts.
• Enter inventory data into computer systems, conduct inventory audits, and maintain clean warehouse areas.

Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials throughout the warehouse while maintaining accurate inventory records. This position supports production and shipping operations by ensuring materials are properly counted, inspected, and moved in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Count, weigh, inspect, and verify inbound and outbound materials, reporting shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Follow FIFO inventory procedures and assemble orders for production and shipment according to work orders.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions while maintaining inventory accuracy for raw materials, finished goods, consignment inventory, and corrugated materials.
• Deliver, tag, and stock materials at designated workstations while maintaining accurate identification, weights, and piece counts.
• Enter inventory data into computer systems, conduct inventory audits, and maintain clean, organized warehouse aisles and work areas.

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Previous experience with Sit-down and Stand-up Forklift
• Ability to accurately count, weigh, inspect, and track materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
