Job summary

Golden West Packaging Group in City of Industry, CA, is seeking a Material Handler - Shipping to ensure safe receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods. You will support daily warehouse operations, verify documentation, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

The role requires operating forklifts and other equipment, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. This hourly position offers a competitive pay range and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment to safely load, unload, move, stage, store, and organize materials and finished goods.
• Load and unload trucks, inspect materials for damage or shortages, and transport inventory throughout the facility while following established safety procedures.
• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming and outgoing materials against bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documentation.
• Prepare shipments by packaging materials, completing shipping documentation, and preparing loads in accordance with dispatcher-provided load plans.
• Perform daily forklift and material handling equipment inspections; maintain inventory organization and replenish stock materials following established procedures.
• Maintain compliance with ISO requirements, hazardous material handling procedures, and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.

The Role You’ll Play

The Material Handler - Shipping is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This is an hourly position. The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $22.50 per hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
