Job summary

Teknor Apex, located in Brownsville, Tennessee, is seeking candidates for roles that involve operating production equipment and adhering to established safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or G.E.D., the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and will maintain organized workspaces.

The successful applicant will follow FIFO procedures for raw materials and complete necessary training in hazardous material handling. Must be 18 years or older to apply.

• Operate production equipment as outlined in SOP’s and batch cards.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with established safety rules.
• Keep all partial bags of material sealed.
• Follow First In First Out (FIFO) procedures for raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment as outlined in SOP’s and batch cards.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with all established safety rules and policies.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by Production Supervisor of Leadman.
• Keep all partial bags of material sealed.
• Replace missing labels on raw materials.
• Raw materials are placed in the correct location.
• Housekeeping, sweeping and mopping the racks daily and keeping the oil house organized.
• Follow First In First Out (FIFO) procedures when sending up raw materials.
• Follow all shelf‑life procedures.
• Properly empty drums and dispose of them properly.
• Complete DOT Hazardous Material Training.
• Send up raw materials to blender loaders and compounders.
• Pull and prepare raw material distribution orders (DO) for shipment to other Teknor plants.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• High School or G.E.D.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
