Job summary

Teknor Apex Company is seeking a production operator to operate equipment in line with SOPs and batch cards, while following safety rules and policies. The role includes labeling, organizing raw materials, FIFO compliance, and proper drum disposal. Training and ongoing duties are provided by the Production Supervisor or Leadman.

Eligible candidates have a High School diploma or GED and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position at Teknor Apex’s facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment as outlined in SOPs and batch cards.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with all established safety rules and policies.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by Production Supervisor or Leadman.
• Keep all partial bags of material sealed.
• Replace missing labels on raw materials.
• Place raw materials in the correct location.
• Housekeeping, sweeping and mopping the racks daily and keeping the oil house organized.
• Follow First In First Out (FIFO) procedures when sending up raw materials.
• Follow all shelf‑life procedures.
• Properly empty drums and dispose of them properly.
• Send raw materials to blender loaders and compounders.
• Pull and prepare raw material distribution orders (DO) for shipment to other Teknor plants.
• Complete DOT Hazardous Material Training.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
