Job summary

Spectrum Brands’ Pet Care division seeks a Warehouse Associate to perform general warehouse operations in Blacksburg. You will operate forklifts and MEWPs, use RF scanners and SAP to move inventory, pick orders, and support loading and shipping while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, coordinating daily schedules, and executing cycle counts. A high school diploma and 0–2 years’ warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, reach trucks) preferred.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing general warehouse operations, including operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment, moving inventory throughout the facility, picking customer orders, and loading and unloading trucks. Utilizes RF scanning equipment and SAP to accurately track inventory movements, maintain inventory records, and support efficient warehouse operations while following established safety and quality standards.

Education and Experience Profile

• High school diploma or GED required.




• 0-2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.




• Experience operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks, preferred.

Required Skills

• Basic computer skills, including the ability to complete transactions in SAP.




• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.




• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.




• Flexibility to work multiple shifts as business needs require.




• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.




• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, and steel‑toed shoes.




• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.




• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with exposure to typical industrial conditions. Employees must follow all established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

The hourly range for this role is $19.25 to $23.50. An employee's pay within the hourly range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and business or organizational needs. This position is not eligible for an annual merit increase, incentive compensation, or a comprehensive benefits package.
