The Material Handler performs daily distribution yard activities for a facility, including receiving, storing, and shipping/building loads. Operate forklift and ensure loads match orders prior to vehicle departure. Perform customer service activities. Material Handlers possess broad knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations, demonstrating alertness and adaptability to routines. Understand and apply basic mathematical calculations. Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety protocols to ensure OSHA compliance. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience. Ability to understand and communicate safety and work instructions. Work in a warehouse environment with physical exertion, in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of building material products and engineered wood products is a plus. Ability to measure lengths of materials and general warehouse experience, including forklift operation, is preferred.
