Job summary

CCL Careers is seeking a Material Handler to support our Baltimore warehouse operations. You will read shipping schedules, move products, and place or pull stock according to standard procedures.

Requirements include at least 2 years of warehouse experience, ability to operate electrical jacks and forklifts, attention to detail, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Lifts up to 40 lbs and stands 8 hours as part of daily duties.

Job description

MATERIAL HANDLER:

• Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and familiarity with the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures.


• Read shipping schedule and follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components.


• Move products in accordance to the shipping schedule


• Basic skill in the use of manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of production/warehouse experience


• Ability to operate electrical jack and fork lifts

• Able to read, write and speak English


• Good organizational skills


• Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all departments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs intermittently


• Able to push and pull manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts, and hand trucks


• Normal vision


• Ability to be on their feet for 8 hours
