Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Take physical receipt of all material from vendors and verify counts.
  • Audit material against packing slips and match with vendor reports.
  • Receive material against system PO after audit.
  • Check for work order shortages and allocate materials accordingly.
  • Stage material for Receiving Inspection and stock in designated locations.
  • Operate forklift and hand tools as needed; maintain a neat, safe work area.

The Sanmina facility in Austin, Texas provides precision machining and mechanical assembly services to customers. Precision machining capabilities include vertical milling, horizontal milling, and turning on a wide range of materials including aluminum, copper, composites, stainless titanium, and high alloy steel with a milling envelope of up to 60\" x 50\" x 40\". The facility specializes in high-mix, low volume production and also offers sub-assembly, integration, New Product Introduction services, and clean room assembly.

Essential Functions And Duties
  • Take physical receipt of all material from vendors, ensuring case/pallet counts and that the material is damage free before signing for them.
  • Audit material against packing slip to ensure received quantity matches what the vendor reports
  • Receive material against system PO once audit in complete
  • Check system for any work order shortages and allocate accordingly
  • Stage any material that may require Receiving Inspection in the QA area
  • Stock any material not needed immediately in Receiving Inspection or for work orders in its designated location. Create a new location when needed.
  • Maintain a neat, organized and safe work environment
  • Assist other departments when needed
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Lifts heavy items and will operate a forklift
  • Able to operate hand tools (drill, circular saw, Sealer)
Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 0-2 years of related material handler driver experience
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to proactively identify, analyze, address and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issues; strong decision-making skills
  • Organizational skills to insure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process
  • Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet, and word processor software and order processing systems
