Role Overview: Material Handler

The Material Handler supports the operation of multiple loading racks, including truck and rail racks, by performing loading and unloading activities. Rotation within a team of Bulk Loaders involves handling railcars and tanker trucks.

What you will do:

• Assist with terminal/distribution operations, including loading and unloading hazardous chemicals such as nitric acid and anhydrous ammonia via trucks and rail cars.
• Rehandle off-spec products, including mixing, heating, filtering, and sampling to ensure quality.
• Assist with tank transfers of hazardous chemicals, ensuring proper valve alignment, sampling, and safety procedures.
• Monitor product transfers between tanks, vessels, and pipelines.
• Perform terminal maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition.
• Pull samples for chemical analysis to verify product integrity.
• Record activities using electronic devices, documenting SOPs, load activities, and tank information.
• Load trucks and railcars, unload raw materials from suppliers and intra-plant units.
• Track mobile equipment movement and position railcars and tankers.
• Operate heavy machinery such as front-end loaders and dump trucks.
• Assist customers and producers with any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience handling liquid and dry agricultural and industrial products is preferred.
