Job description

Material Handler
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Material Handler for a direct hire opportunity with a growing company in Alpharetta, GA. This role is essential for transporting, staging, and managing materials throughout the manufacturing process. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of material handling experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers long-term career growth, cross-training opportunities, and the chance to join a supportive team.

Pay Rate
$ 20.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities
• Transport and stage raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas using manual methods or material handling equipment.

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments; verify accuracy against packing lists and maintain detailed records of transactions.

• Prepare products for shipping, confirm special instructions, and expedite orders that impact production schedules.

• Maintain organized inventory records, validate and forward invoices, and coordinate with vendors when necessary to resolve shipment issues.

• Keep the work environment clean and safe by disposing of scrap materials and following all safety procedures.

• Additional related job duties as assigned.

Material Handler Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in logistics or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling, shipping, and inventory management.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.

• D r ug screening and background check is required at the time of hire.
