Job summary

JAC Products is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift (3p-11:30p) to supply workstations with materials and component parts, operate an industrial forklift, and transport finished goods and scrap while keeping a safe, clean work environment. Candidates should have at least two years forklift experience in a manufacturing setting, pass pre-employment screenings, and obtain a lift truck license.

Strong communication, urgency, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of operating an industrial forklift in a production manufacturing facility.
  • Strong communication, urgency, responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Supply workstations with materials, supplies and component parts.
  • Operate an industrial forklift to move materials and products.
  • Transport finished goods and scrap to designated areas.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Material Handlers are responsible for supplying workstations with the proper materials, supplies and component parts, typically while operating an industrial forklift. In addition, will transport finished goods and scrap to designated areas while maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Skills / Competencies
  • Ability to pass the necessary testing to obtain lift truck license.
  • Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provide for individual growth.
  • Familiar with FIFO (First In - First Out) protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of operating an industrial forklift in a production manufacturing facility.
