Job summary

METACYCLE LLC in Wichita, KS seeks a Material Handler to monitor regrind materials and maintain accurate scrap and blend inventories. You will ensure proper material movements in the ERP system, print labels with precise part numbers and quantities, and organize skids and storage locations to support efficient production.

You will also help maintain a clean, safe grinding and blending area, back up other material handlers, and promptly report inventory discrepancies or issues to supervision.

Qualifications

• Printing accurate labels with correct part numbers and quantities.

Responsibilities

• Blend materials for production runs as documented on BOM.
• Report shortages to management immediately.
• Keep grinding and blending areas clean and safe.
• Ensure material movements are logged in ERP and transferred between locations.
• Organize skids and gaylords as they are emptied.
• Scan completed product into ERP at end of run and transfer to warehouse.
• Notify management of inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot.

Job description

Proactively keeps track of regrind materials by grinding parts. Responsible for ensuring accurate inventory counts for scrap and regrind materials. Responsible for ensuring accurate blending material for use in production.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• - Blend materials for production runs as required as documented on the Bill of Material.
• Report any issues with material shortages to management immediately.
• - Ensure Grinders are properly cleaned, and the scrap material is not contaminated. when changing material types
• - Ensure ALL material movements are properly entered/transferred in ERP System immediately, from the existing location to the new location.
• - Responsible for printing labels for grinded product ensuring accurate part numbers and box quantities.
• - Organize skids, boxes and empty gaylords, as skids and gaylords are emptied.
• - When production runs are completed, ensure all Scrap materials are removed and transferred to the warehouse and properly scanned in ERP System.
• Ensure all previous materials are removed prior to bringing in the next production run materials to avoid mix-ups.
• - Notify management of inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot to help resolve.
• - Maintain an organized & clean grinding room & blending area, ensuring a safe work environment.
• - Reports all safety, quality & equipment issues to supervision in a timely manner.
• - Follows all procedures, rules, and works in a safe manner.
• - Backup to Material Handlers
• - Helps relieve operators for breaks as needed.
• - Perform other duties as required.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• - Notify management of inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot to help resolve.
• - Notify management when inventories are low as compared to past quantities.
• - As product is completed ensure it is scanned to the machine or secondary location throughout the shift and especially by the end of the shift
• - As skids are completed and at the end of a run, ensure product is physically transferred to the warehouse and properly scanned in ERP System.
• - When production runs are completed, ensure all raw materials are removed and transferred to the warehouse and properly scanned in ERP System.
• - Ensure all previous materials are removed prior to bringing in the next production run materials to avoid mix-ups.
