Job summary

Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc. is hiring a Service Center Operator A (SCOA) in Little Rock, AR. You will stage, pack, and pick material for shipments, using proper equipment and SAP work orders to ensure accurate shipping and receiving.

The role includes forklift operation and adherence to safety and quality standards, with enrollment in an apprenticeship program as part of onboarding. Minimum experience and basic math/computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem solving.
• Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
• Physical ability to pass vision, hearing, and mobility exams.
• Onboarding includes enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer orders.
• Packaging material to customer requirements.
• Operate sit-down or side loader forklift to move material.
• Complete SAP work orders for shipping/receiving.
• Maximize productivity for finished goods creation.
• Other duties as assigned or as business needs change.
